Acknowledging the precedent set by the Joint-Resolution that annexed Texas in 1845,
Recognizing the great wealth of resources held on The Moon,
Noting the importance of Lunar Settlement for the future of space exploration,
Further recognizing that America is the first and only country to land on The Moon,
We the People of the United States of America,
In order to form a more Galactic union, insure Stellar tranquility, provide for the common defense of the Solar System, and to share the blessings of American democracy and power with our future Lunar brethren, do hereby call for the annexation of The Moon by Joint-Resolution of Congress.
