Call on the City of New York, to investigate the inhumane and brutal treatment of Riker's Island inmates

I am pleading for the US government to intervene and start a mass investigation on all Riker's employees. Recently there has been a release of a video that shows the beating of a teenage Riker's Island inmate, Kalief Browder. He was beaten by a prison guard along with fellow inmates with no punishment on the offenders. Browder had been awaiting trial for 3 YEARS for allegedly stealing a backpack. From 2011 to 2013 there have been 1,057 injuries among males under the age of 18. One officer with 76 uses of force on the books over the span of six years was disciplined ONE TIME. A huge majority of the inmates are mentally ill and are still treated like animals. Inmates have been brutally beaten, spit on, kept in over 100 degree temp. rooms, and worse. I pray this petition can make a change.
