Since the election on November 8, 2016, Swastikas, KKK signs, graffitis such as “Make America White Again” and “Black Lives Don’t Matter and Neither Does Your Votes” are showing up in various places in America. In addition, a spate of incidents have been reported, from young Latino children being bullied in Michigan to harassment and attacks on Blacks, Muslims, homosexuals and women after the election. In his acceptance speech President-elect Trump said: “Now it’s time for America to bind the wounds of division”. We urge President-elect Trump, as well as President Obama, to condemn this intolerable behavior. It is not enough to claim that it is time to bind the wounds. We implore you to exert your leadership and denounce such divisive behavior.
