We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

A call on Congress to act immediately regarding increased gun control following the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting.

Created by O.H. on June 12, 2016

Pulse Nightclub in Orlando was subjected to a horrific act of violence, leaving over 50 dead and 50 more injured to varying degrees of severity. Not only does it follow the shooting of Christina Grimes, it is also now the biggest mass shooting in recent US history. The nature of the crime, whether it was an act of terrorism or severe hatred, is as of yet unknown.
Despite Omar Mateen's death, the trauma following his attack will remain poignant in the memory of those involved, and across the world. The ease with which one can obtain a gun in the US compared to other countries is unparalleled, and it is because of the lack of investigation before obtaining a weapon that acts of mass violence occur. This must be changed for the good of the American people, for the present and for the future.
