During the discussions of the 2016 appropriation bill that would provide fiscal year 2017 funding for the Energy Department, among others, US House Representative Rick W. Allen (R-GA) read bible passages from Romans 1:18-32, and Revelations 22:18-19, which call for death to non-heterosexuals. Conscious of the fact that Christianity remains the most widespread religion in our nation, Rep Allen is inciting violence on LGBT Americans, threatening them, and thus violating his oath to serve the people of the Unites States of America, Georgia and his District.
For these reasons, we call on the White House to condemn Rep. Allen's remarks, and call on the US House of Representatives Ethics Committee, to begin censure procedures against Rep Allen.
