In an era when our mobile phone can tell Facebook, Uber, pizza deliveries or even video games where we are located – with amazing accuracy – 911 operators are often left in the dark. The chance of 911 pin pointing the location of an emergency ranges from as low as 10% to as high as 95%, according to hundreds of pages of local, state and federal documents obtained and reviewed by USA TODAY.
Therefore: The undersigned ask congress to draw up and implement a solution that will improve the accuracy of pin pointing location of 911 emergency calls in order to better protect the people.
