Congress refuses to raise the minimum wage, a move that would greatly improve living for many US citizens, while they continue to make thousands per year ($200+/hr—at least 28 times what minimum wage workers earn per hour).
Here's the thing: Those people flipping burgers at McDonalds, cashiers at Walmart, among many others, all do more work than our elected representatives. Why is it that they can barely survive on their pay?
We the people of the United States of America call on our members of Congress to work on $7.25/hr since anything greater than that is too good to them. Let us see how they survive and how quickly they raise it.
