Call for congress to take a 10% pay cut, pay 10% more towards health insurance, cut or pay 10% more for all other perks.

While they use the citizens they represent as pawns in their political games congress enjoys a plethora of perks most of us could only dream about. As they furlough government employees they never take a pay cut. They enjoy free meals in the dining hall, inexpensive child care, a cheap gym, free postage until death, a $3000 tax credit for expenses outside their district, no loss of retirement health insurance like so many citizens are experiencing, and all of this in addition to being allowed to travel and eat on campaign accounts. If programs such as meals for seniors must be cut, it is time to cut these benefits. It is time to cut everything they get.
