Call for congressional hearings to investigate Glee and other media outlets for stealing work from independent artists

Created by M.W. on January 25, 2013

The television show Glee has demonstrated a pattern of stealing original arrangements of popular songs from independent artists without giving these artists credit or compensation.

When approached by said artists, they have made it clear that it is their policy to not offer credit or compensation, nor seek permission or approval to use these arrangements.

They may have even used the actual music tracks from some of these artists.

This is a clear example of a large corporation trying to steamroll the little guys.

The White House should call on Congress to launch a full investigation into these actions, and any similar actions from other groups, and seek to pass legislation to update copyright laws to better protect independent artists
