Texas Governor Greg Abbot has already called for a Constitutional Convention of the States in order check Washington with amendments to protect the states and the rights of the people. This is a petition to ensure this happens.
Amendments include prohibition of Congress from regulating activity that occurs wholly within one state, requiring congress to balance its budget, prohibiting administrative agencies - and the unelected bureaucrats that staff them - from creating federal law and from preempting state law, allow 2/3 majority of the stated to override a US Supreme Court decision and to override a federal law or regulation. These are just a few of the amendments.
The states need more freedom to check the federal government.
