Given the failure of the latest cease-fire attempt in Gaza, by Hamas again, there is a dire need for international action in this conflict. Hamas and other militant factions within Gaza repeatedly launch attacks on Israel, provoking Israeli action, which results in much killing.
We petition the US government to call for the deployment of UN peacekeepers to provide humanitarian and security services in Gaza, for the cessation of Israeli strikes to allow for this deployment (Hamas has demonstrated their unwillingness to do so), and the dissolution of Hamas, being the primary aggressors. While UN peacekeepers and aid workers provide security and relief, Israeli and international forces work to demilitarize Gaza, allowing Israel to feel safer and therefore encourage a lifting of the blockade
