On the night of September 27, 2011, a friend of Chad called the local police department because he was concerned for Chad's emotional well-being. Chad had fallen asleep in his bathtub after a night of drinking in his home. Chad has a perfectly clean criminal record. A SWAT team was summoned and that team informed a judge they needed to enter the home because Chad had hostages. The SWAT team preformed a no-knock raid, tossing stun grenades into his home and kicking down his door. Police then threw a stun grenade into the bathroom where Chad was now awake. The police shot him with a non lethal round, bashed his face with a riot shield, and shot him with a taser at point blank range.
