In Lilburn, GA, a Fulton County man woke up at 1 AM and walked 29 miles in the snow to attend court, only to find that his court-appointed attorney had not bothered to be in court that day. The man's charge; a traffic citation. Several good-hearted cops pooled enough money to buy the man a cab ride home. However, I petition that this man's charges should without doubt be immediately dropped pending a recommendation from the President to the District Court Judge handling this case in Fulton County. Walking 29 miles in freezing weather to tend to a traffic violation shows the man's dedication to deal with his hardly serious crime. On top of this, his attorney was not present. This is the least that can be done.
