Call on educators to teach subjects that are applicable in real life.

As a freshman in high school, I think about my future. Part of this thought process is how my current school is going to affect that. My school is within a very nice district, and I do not hold them responsible for what I am about to say. I think that there is a very real problem on what our students are learning, and whether they are helpful in the real world. I'd say that there are 4 classes out of my 9 which teach me ANYTHING applicable to the real world. Respectfully, I think it's absurd that the current school system teaches kids abstract math over subjects such as FIRST AID. I think the topics mentioned above should be INTRODUCED, but it be up to the student whether to pursue them. In short, if you can't explain how someone can use it day-to-day, it shouldn't be mandatory.
