Call an end to the electoral college vote, and create who ever wins the most states wins the Presidential election

the Electoral College was created in the 1800's to keep the soutern vote down.It gives the states with higher urban populations more electoral power than states with rural populations. Thereby regions like the northeast and the west coast being able to tell the rest of the country how they are going to run it.
