This is a plea to not travel down the same path that led Russia into bankruptcy. We have been spending borrowed money to fight in Afghanistan longer than any war in American history. It is time to cut our losses and focus on our own financial survival. There will be chaos when we leave, whether we leave tomorrow or leave in 10 more years.
