Call on the FAA to Provide New Regulation Standards for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Before the Deadline of August 30, 2014

Created by M.A. on March 12, 2013

We the People believe in the USFG's mandate to supply us protections, specifically regarding the FAA Modernization and Reform Act, which set the deadline of August 30, 2015 for the FAA to produce a policy recommendation for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) into US airspace.

Despite the benefits UAV's offer, civilians are susceptible to military, police, and private industry misuses.

We believe that the 2.5 years provided the FAA for policy suggestions is too long, and an extra year of deliberation will not create a policy any more conducive to civil rights and public safety protections.

Beyond the deadline, UAV policy must outlaw military surveillance within US borders, police use without search warrants, and civilian/industrial privacy abuses of civilians.
