There’s nothing in the constitution that says that America is a two party system, and that all other parties need to be excluded. In fact our Founding Fathers warned us about the threat of faction. John Adams said, “There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other.”
The public own the airwaves, and the President appoints the head of the FCC. President Obama must insist the FCC immediately revise their rules so the American public has access to the airwaves which we own. On issues of great public importance—like Presidential elections—the public has the right to hear from and engage with all the ballot-qualified candidates in all broadcast events.
