The confusion of poverty with neglect is often the single biggest problem in American Child Welfare, we need a system that promotes family and helping families stay together by offering them whatever help they need to achieve this. Abolishing Federal and State financial incentives that have turned Child Protective Services into a business that seperates families for money. Laws need to be upheld when someone fabricates or presents false evidence against parents that results in a child or children being removed from their home. It should also be mandatory that CPS searches for family members to be given the opportunity to provide temporary foster care or permanent placement for children being removed indeffinitely. Its time for CPS to stop bullying parents into giving up their children!
