60 years ago, United States citizens were hauled before the Congressional UnAmerican activities to answer for alleged communist affiliations. Now we have the admission of the Russian Government, along with President Putin, that they had been in communication with the campaign of the current President Elect of the United States. At best, this collusion violates federal campaign law. At worst, it represents espionage, and perhaps even treasonous actions taken by the President Elect. If we can spend years and much needed tax dollars to investigate the former secretary of state, then it behooves the character of our democracy to examine this issue with equal diligence.
