The Iranian ruling regime says that their only interest in nuclear technology is to provide energy and isotopes. Their is a proven nuclear power plant which is far safer, far more efficient and cheaper and cannot be weaponized. It is Liquid Fluoride Thorium nuclear power which was proven to work at the Oaks Ridge National Laboratory in the sixties but was abandoned because it would NOT support nuclear weapons production. This technology has been on the back shelf for decades and actually would be an excellent solution to America's energy problems as well as neutralizing the Iranian threat.
