Call for mandatory background checks on all firearm purchases.

These background checks will keep deadly weapons out of the hands of dangerous people. United States citizens have the right to own guns, but those who have been convicted of crimes in the past lose some of their rights. No citizen's rights should infringe on another's. Allowing criminals, people who have proven that they will break the law, to obtain firearms endangers other citizens' right to life and saftey. In light of recent tragedies in which guns were used to take away the right to life of Americans, action is necessary.
