The system of Legislative process first put forward in the Constitution has become outdated.
In the early days of the United States, travel was a long an tedious process, and so representatives were elected so everybody wouldn't need to travel to the capitals, slowing the process.
In this day of high-speed travel and instaneous communication, this system is no longer necessary.
It should be a general democracy. All citizens now, if given, the ability to vote and propose laws, cutting out the oftentimes corrupt middle man.
Maybe as a House of Commons-like part instead of /or in addition to Congress.
Maybe as a website, like this one.
This would make America a country "of the people"
