A Call For the Regulation of Marine Mammals to the Benefit of their Health and Well-Being in "Marine Parks" and Zoos.

In this petition I call on my fellow Americans to impress upon the Obama administration the importance of protecting marine mammals from poor care-taking, inadequate living conditions, and most importantly from preventing the further subjugation of these creatures via their capture in the wild. These mammals are forced into captivity where they do not have enough space or food or rest or care. Sea World and other "marine parks" around the world have used illegal and immoral means to maintain, breed, and decimate wild marine mammal populations including whales and dolphins. The Obama Administration should form a regulatory board to make places like Sea World adhere to strict industry standards that puts the health and well-being of the animals first; make their lives better and longer.
