Call for a resolution that will require Congress to not be exempt from the Affordable Care Act

Created by D.R. on August 09, 2013

A resolution is needed requiring Congress to disallow concurrent enrollment in the Health Exchanges and "Cadillac" FEHBPs in order to ensure that The Affordable Care Act ("The Act") is implemented fairly and equitably. The Grassley Amendment was inserted into The Act in order to show the American People that Congress had "skin in the game" and that members were "required" to be bound by The Act. Federal employees were obviously nervous about the impact that the Act would have on their lives. At the President's request, the federal employees will have no such risk. A loophole of The Act will entitle Federal Employees to sign up for expensive FEHBP plans that cost taxpayers between 4,900 and 10,000. We the People submit that Congress should not be allowed to receive inequitable treatment.
