We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

A call to separate the State of California into North California and South California

Created by O.E. on July 02, 2016

Due to the vast political, economic, and social differences between the northern and southern half of the state and the ability for major population areas to influence our government, we believe the time has come for the following counties of the state to create the new State of North California: Del Norte, Siskiyou, Modoc, Humboldt, Trinity, Shasta, Lassen, Mendocino, Tehama, Plumas, Sierra, Butte, Glenn, Lake, Colusa, Sutter, Yuba, Nevada, Placer, El Dorado, Amador, Calaveras, Alpine, Tuolumne, Mono, Mariposa, and Inyo. We have many differences and it is not fair for the major population centers to decide for the north our federal and state election results along with taxing us excessively, attacking our 2nd Amendment rights, and rigging the U.S. Senate primary election in their favor.
