Call a special session of Congress to keep student loan interest rates from going up.

Created by T.L. on July 04, 2013

As an incoming college freshman, my bachelor's degree is going to cost about $100,000, most of which will be covered by student loans. Congress adjourned for the summer without voting on preventing the interest rates from doubling from 3.4% to 6.8%. This petition calls on President Obama to use his power in Article II, Section III of the US Constitution to call a special session of Congress to lower student loan rates.
