Call on the States to initiate a Constitutional Convention to reform abuses by the Executive and Legislative Branches.

Created by K.D. on December 16, 2013

This petition is to call upon the 50 State legislatures of the United States to hold a Constitional convention to reform the federal government as permitted by the U.S. Constitution. Intent is to reign in the executive powers of the President, to reform Congress, and the Supreme Court. The goal is to put the U.S. federal government back in line with the literal intent of the Constitution and to protect the rights of states and the individual. Examples include limits on executive orders without Congressional approval and forcing laws passed by Congress to be applicable to themselves and the executive branch. Further examples include giving the states responsibility for Congressional pay and funding of staff and to limit the Supreme Court's ability to legislate from the bench.
