Call upon Congress to investigate Google's business practices in order to protect consumers

Created by M.E. on April 14, 2012

Google is Internet search. They also provide an advertising platform, email, document authoring and sharing, social network, video sharing and more. People have formed businesses around these services. Some derive their livelihood through these tools.

Google is a monopoly. They have no real competition in these areas.

When a Google user account is suspended they offer virtually no way to reinstate it. This means the permanent loss of gigabytes of data, emails, contact, documents and revenue for users. Reports of this have become alarmingly frequent.

Google is too powerful. Legal action against them would result in nothing more than self-inflicted harm.

Congress must investigate these business practices and seek to protect US consumers from Google's now-evil ways.
