Call upon Congress to stop treating scientists as untrustworthy and ensure their opinions are taken seriously.

Members of Congress treat science as if it is merely a set of personal opinions. Climate change is disregarded as an unrealistic fear. In hearing after hearing Congressional leaders invite scientists to testify to their scientific opinions then disregard those opinions when they go against what Congressional leaders believe. Scientists as a whole are committed to researching and presenting factual information based on evidence. Disregarding the opinions of experts in areas such as climate change and energy resources is not only unwise it is setting up future Americans for failure. Congress must take educated action to prevent future disasters in our society. Ensure that these decisions are being made rationally and responsibly. We MUST act now to minimize future harms.
