Young adults question their cultural traditions and religious faith in every culture, but Saudi Arabia is one of the few modern nations where it is a capital offense.
The U.S. mustn't turn a blind eye to Kashgari's plight. Please publicly and privately make a stand in support of Kashgari before he is harmed, and back up those words with actions. The U.S. routinely pressures far less modern countries like Afghanistan to protect human rights like free speech, so call upon Saudi Arabia to become a leader in the region by protecting human rights, even in cases of blasphemy.
