The US government should apologize to the Philippines for the atrocities of the Philippine-American war and lift travel restrictions on the Philippine citizens to the US. Having been forced to be a former colony the Philippine citizens should be allowed the same travel freedoms to the US that allied countries such as Japan and South Korea has. Stop treating this very important ally in the south pacific as a stepchild and show how important to the United States they are.
