call on the wisdom of mainline protestant pastors such as Rev. Kris Schondelmeyer (PCUSA) instead of fundementalist.

The intersection of faith and politics has been dominated by evangelical fundementalists. But, that approach to Christianity doesn't speak for a significant portion of the American population. There are many of us who feel that our faith has been undermined by an outspoken, fundementalist segment of the Christian faith. But, those of us who subscribe to intelligent theological inquiry, interfaith dialogue, and the love of all our neighbors are reclaiming our faith. Please join me in calling the Obama administration to the table to hear our voice. Please join me in standing up for the oppressed, the exploited, the voiceless. Please join me in sharing why our faith calls us as a nation to care for the sick, the poor, and our neighbors in foreign lands...for this is what God requires.
