We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Calling on the Army Core of Engineers to give local municipalities more control over Lake Okeechobee Discharges

Created by B.M. on September 07, 2016

It's important that the ACOE considers local impact of water discharges into local waterways and works with local leadership. So far discharges have been responsible for the conveyance of devestating algae blooms into the Indian River Lagoon on Florida's East Coast and the pollution of Fort Meyers area waterways. These discharges have a colossal negative economic impact on the tourism industry and decimate the local ecology.
