This allows the same rights as marriage for gays and lesbians, however, it isn't called marriage. This would stop the redefining of marriage which is an issue for some, and it would still give the gays and lesbians rights to be with their loved ones with all of the benefits of marriage. This isn't a discrimination, nor should it ever be used so.
