Campaign Finance Reform

Created by K.A. on October 02, 2011

The laws regarding how campaigns are allowed to be funded need to be reformed. Currently there is a shameful lack of regulation on where politicians are allowed to get to get their money from, how much money they are allowed to raise and what they are allowed to spend their campaign contributions on.

We should reform this system so that only private american citizens may donate up to 2,000 dollars to a political campaign.

This would mean that businesses, non-profit organizations, religious organizations, unions and corporations would be barred from donating to campaigns, making the elections about the people. In this system each person would have an equal voice.
