Eliminate the influence of corporations on our (the people's) government by blocking donations to political campaigns from corporations. Fund campaigns through a taxpayer sourced fund, or only allow people (someone with a social security number. Corporations should not be considered people - that's another petition) to contribute to campaigns. Also, limit the amount that can be contributed by any one person - no Sheldon Adelsons buying political favors. Names of all campaign contributers would have to be publically posted and available for free through the internet.
This would include the elimination of political action committees, super PACs, and other 3rd party campaign promotion mechanisms.
This is a step towards making the government accountable to the people and away from plutocracy
