The national debt is over $16 trillion. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects losses averaging a trillion per year over the next 10-12 years. No family, business or government can avoid bankruptcy by borrowing more and more to pay recurring expenses.
Everything except a binding Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) has been tried to stop the unsustainable deficit spending.
The U.S. Constitution provides a way for 34 states to draft a BBA that limits new debt, taxes and spending with an exception for declared wars.
Polling finds 70% of Americans would vote for a BBA.
The CBO projects that limiting the spending growth could pay off the debt, quadruple income & allow for a 30% tax cut by 2083.
A BBA passes on the American Dream.
