I am a loyal democrat and fully supported Obama for re-election. However I did not realize that a 2nd term President still gets a extravagent and expensive inaugural celebration. I feel it would send a powerful and positive message to our country, especially during these difficult economic times, if President Obama would cancel the festivites and choose a small swearing in ceremony like the rest of our public officials.
The money saved could better serve our country elsewhere.
I am also petitioning the White House and Congress to create a bill that makes it a law that these expensive inaugurations only be held for 1st time Presidents.
