During the 2nd Debate with Gov. Romney, President Obama said he was in favor of a permanent Assault Weapons Ban. We feel a renewal of the ban would be an affront to our 2nd Amendment Rights.
President Obama feels that a "gun designed to be used in the military has no purpose on our streets." With all due respect, the so called Assault Weapons "on our streets" are Semi-Automatic, Civilian legal firearms with a sporting purpose that may look like a military gun, but are not. Regardless of these firearms having the appearance of a military M-16 or AK-47, they do not offer an automatic fire capability like the military guns.
President Obama should focus on economic recovery. Prior bans have shown that criminals without regard for the law will still acquire these guns under any ban.
