American Idol lost it's appeal years ago, each season is a rehash of the last, it's the same crap over and over again and too frequently do they reject contestants simply because their taste in music isn't considered mainstream. It consumes a time slot where perhaps something worth while could be placed and disrupts the schedule of other series that were not written in such a way to accommodate the misplaced priorities in reality tv series such as this.
