President Obama is scheduled to do an interview with FOX News' Bill O'Reilly on Super Bowl Sunday.
Only days ago, Ted Nugent, a frequent O'Reilly guest, called the President a "subhuman mongrel." Nugent has also threatened the President's safety, suggesting Mr. Obama should "suck on [his] machine gun."
By appearing with O'Reilly, the President will once again lend credibility to FOX's divisive, harmful operation. He will make clear he has no problem associating with those who choose scoundrels like Nugent for their friends.
The President should not appear with those who would poison our public dialogue. The President should not reward Nugent's outrageous behavior through support for FOX.
The President should demonstrate self-respect and cancel until O'Reilly denounces Ted Nugent.
