FERC approved the installation of SPECTRA's Algonquin Incremental Market natural gas pipeline expansion, which sits 105 feet from Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant Infrastructures, in New York's Hudson Valley. Why would we want to put a 42-inch pipeline that is vulnerable to explosions, leaks, sabotage, and terrorist attacks next to a facility that has a long list of safety violations? Why are we expanding the natural gas pipeline system when we signed onto the Paris Climate Agreement and should be investing in renewable energy infrastructure?
