The Joint Strike Fighter aka JSF program has exceded costs of the F-22, which is undoubtedly the most advanced jet figher, air superiority fighter of all time. The f-22 is a proven platform and is already in service, the JSF hasn't made it into production and continues to meet set back after set back while the U.S. Government continues to waste tax payer money on a plane they can't even get into production. Any issues the f-22 raptor may have will be cheaper to address than it will be to get the JSF into full production and service. Being former military and related to several veterans the time for our men and women of the armed services to be forced to use equipment supplied by the LOWEST bidder has past. For our future defense and security we should have nothing but the best.
