Cancel the launch of the Mars rover Curiosity by NASA which is powered by dangerous plutonium 238.

Using nuclear power in space, NASA's future is threatened.
Between 11/25/11 and 12/15/11 NASA plans to launch for use on Mars a rover fueled with 10.6 pounds of plutonium, more than ever used. If there is an accident during the launch and plutonium is released on Earth the cost will sky rocket. NASA's Final Environmental Impact Statement for its Mars Science Laboratory Mission says that if plutonium is released on Earth, the cost could be as high as $1.5 billion to decontaminate each square mile of urban areas impacted. The probability of an accident with a release of plutonium is 1-in-220 overall. Is this huge cancer risk necessary? Disneyland will not be the happiest Place on Earth. A high altitude accident will cause a global contamination of plutonium. Solar Juno is going to Jupiter.
