In light of the fact that we are in debt over 1.6 trillion dollars with no hope of ever paying this debt off, the United States needs to cancel the National Debt. This will free up billions of dollars otherwise going to overseas investors and give the United States a chance of achieving a balanced budget. Like declaring national bankruptcy and starting over.
