Cancel the second Presidential Inauguration Ceremony due to budget constraints.

Created by T.J. on January 16, 2013

We the people ask that the administration cancel the second Presidential Inauguration Ceremony due to budget constraints and the approaching 'debt ceiling'. An inauguration ceremony for a public figure that is 'already serving' in office has in our view, very little economic utility. In fact, the nation's economic output will be slowed during the ceremony, due to individuals taking time out of their work day to watch it.

The millions of tax dollars, man power, security and additional resources and personnel that will be used towards this event (and those prior and thereafter), could be used in other areas and public services facing budgetary constraints.

Canceling the ceremony for these reasons would serve the President's interests and dedication towards fiscal responsibility!
