Cancer At My School

Created by J.R. on November 03, 2014

We believe that schools nationwide would designate a single day to go out and perform as nationwide walk for a cure for cancer. This would be a day of service where students walk for cancer and raise money at the same time. We suggest that September 23 of each year be designated as the day for the cancer walk so that all students, across the nation, can participate on the same day. Walking for cancer provides a meaningful opportunity to children to give to their schools and community. Students will also pick a specific cancer that they want to support by wearing the color that represents it (ex. Students who want to walk and raise money for Breast Cancer woulwould wear pink to support that cause). By walking we would raise awareness and encourage researchers to continue to find cures.
