Our elected representatives have been corrupted by campaign contributions. They no longer represent the voters but those with deep pockets who have made huge contributions to their campaigns. Both sides of the aisle have been bought and the financial elite get what THEY want. Cap all campaign contributions at $1000 per "person". Corporations, unions, PACs and billionaires would no longer be able to buy our government and run it to their advantage. It would limit the power corporations gained through the establishment of corporate "personhood" and would restore political power to where it rightly belongs - with the People. Do it NOW, so that, as Abraham Lincoln so eloquently put it, government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
