Cap Executive salary at no more than 200x that of the lowest-paid employee.

Created by J.A. on September 23, 2011

In Corporate America today, chief executives typically earn thousands of times what their lowest paid employee does. If all men are created equal, then how can a CEO be worth $30 million per year, while the janitor is worth only $9/hour?

It is time to codify this into law, and direct that all corporations cap TOTAL COMPENSATION (stock options, salary, perks) of the highest paid employee to no more than 200x that of the lowest paid employee. At most, the CEO in the example above could earn $1,800/hour. For purposes of this calculation, 'lowest paid employee' shall be the lowest calculated hourly wage of any subcontractor or employee.

This proposal will increase salaries at lower levels and drastically increase tax income at many levels, as well as fuelling social security contributions.
